Arkansas Razorbacks

The Arkansas Razorbacks, also known as the Hogs, are the names of college sports teams at the University of Arkansas.  The Arkansas Razorbacks are the only major sports team in the US with a porcine nickname.  The University of Arkansas currently fields 19 total varsity teams. The Arkansas Razorbacks compete in the NCAA's Division I and is currently a member of the Southeastern Conference.  

The Arkansas Razorbacks started the 2006-2007 Football season with a loss then rebounded and went on to win ten straight games.  To cinch the Southeaster Conference Western Division Championship.  The Razorbacks lost the SEC Championship Game against the Florida Gators. The Arkansas Razorbacks finished the season with an overall record of 10-4 and with a SEC record of 7-1.

In basketball, the Hogs won the NCAA tournament in 1994 defeating Duke University, and appeared in the championship game the following year. The Razorbacks have been to NCAA Final Four in six times since 1941. 

The baseball team reached the 2004 College World Series, joining previous appearances in Omaha in four other times since 1979.
